LONDON'S BOROUGH MARKET
Apples, berries, squash, beef, salmon, oysters, truffles, cake, chocolate, tulips, wine, beer, empanadas, ostrich burgers, lavender, olives, rhubarb, cheese and freshly baked bread are just a few of the things you can find at Borough Market. Open weekday mornings to retailers only and Thursday-Saturday to the public, this gigantic market sits at the Southern end of the London bridge. The market, which has been in multiple locations, is believed to have been in existence since before Roman times, but has made its home in this location since the 13th century. The market has recently had a renaissance, and is definitely worth checking out. Tip: It can get extremely crowded so I recommend visiting on a Thursday or Friday, but even then you will be fighting the crowd a bit.
