After our practical and written exams were finished, we had one final cake to make: the Celebration Cake. Its base is a fruit cake which we made a month back. This week we finally had the opportunity to decorate it. I chose to go with a traditional Christmas theme and am really proud of the way it turned out (it's a lot harder than it looks). This was definitely a week to celebrate! I passed my exams (hooray!), and we are finally on Christmas break. Graduation from Intermediate Patisserie is on Friday, and then I head home for the holidays next week. I will need to rest up because I hear Superior Patisserie is extremely difficult. Yikes...
