BRIGHTON FOR THE DAY

Yesterday I headed to Brighton for a fun afternoon with a friend from culinary school. Brighton is a coastal town that is just over an hour train ride from London. We ate lunch at Bill's, a store/cafe that features fresh locally grown produce, flowers and groceries. They also serve delicious food, and breakfast all day. After lunch, we took a stroll through town past charming shops and windy streets to the Brighton Pier. With candy shops, carnival rides and an arcade, the Brighton Pier is a child's delight. On a beautiful day like today, we couldn't help but look past the overpriced softserve, and enjoy the view. After a stroll along the waterfront, we headed to the Royal Pavilion, an extravagant oriental inspired palace built for King George IV at the turn of the 19th century. It was a great end to a wonderful day.
